Live light, travel light, spread the light, be the light.
Jill Devi Shri, E-200 RYT, RYT-500, YACEP is an International Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master Practitioner. Jill Devi Shri shares her passion with others through teaching yoga, meditation, workshops, retreats and teacher trainings.
Jill began her yoga practice in 1997. After several years of climbing the corporate ladder, Jill had an epiphany, which led to a change in her life’s direction. In 2014, her personal yoga practice led to her heart’s call to share this ancient wisdom. She completed her RYT-200 at Urban Yoga (Phx) and RYT-300 at Yandara Yoga Institute. She is also certified in the therapeutic styles of yoga: Pre/postnatal, Restorative and Nidra. Jill Devi Shri has extensive yin yoga training, which includes Bernie Clark's and Diana Batt's yin yoga teacher training in Vancouver, BC.
In 2016, Jill followed her heart to travel and learn more about herself and experience life as a nomad. She had a strong calling to go to Bali and Thailand. Jill Devi Shri had the opportunity to teach at a kids yoga camp and a Retreat Center in Bali. After her stay in Bali, Jill went to Thailand where she was certified in Thai massage thru Old Medicine School in Chiang Mai.
Ironically, Jill Devi Shri started out her journey in Maui. She would come back periodically to rest, recharge and then venture out again. In Jan. 2019, after teaching at the Maui Yoga Festival, and for traveling 21 mos. she had a realization Hawaii was now her new home (i ka hale).
My mission is to offer yoga instruction for overall wellness, flexibility, strength and relaxation. I create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, teaching skills to apply to everyday life on and off the yoga mat.
“Jill's training provided me with a strong understanding and foundation in yin. It really helped me grasp the differences between a restorative vs yin practice that so many studios teach as one. Her training was thorough, though-provoking, and inspirational. I am now more confident to lead yin sequences and can view my students with a new lens in yoga.”

Yoga with Jill
Yoga with Jill Devi Shri
Jill infuses her joyful sequences with her intuitive style of teaching that transcends the mat by bringing the wisdom of yoga into every day life. Her intention is to make every student feel known and attended to in the class. Jill teaches pranayama and meditation in all her classes. Students are encouraged to do deeper and to use the tools of the practice balance, release tension, increase awareness, cease the monkey mind chatter, and to focus on their sankalpa.
Easy Breezy Gentle Yoga
If you’ve never tried yoga, then Jill’s ‘Easy Breezy’ class is for you. Designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga, this class focuses on the basic foundation of traditional asanas (postures), pranayama (breath work) and meditation. This is a slow paced class focused on developing safe alignment through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration.
Yin is In
Yin yoga focuses on the connective tissue (fascia) in the body. Over time our flexibility and mobility lessens causing stiffness in the body. This is a meditative practice that allows you to go deep in the pose and mind. Great practice to balance the Yang styles of yoga.
RElax, REjuvenate, REstore in restorative yoga. Restorative yoga emphasizes releasing the psoas muscles and sonovial joint fluid. Many props such as blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps are used to melt in each pose held for several minutes. Beginners, runners, hikers will all love this slow paced class!
Mamma Maui Pre/postnatal
Take time to nurture yourself creating space and peace within. During pregnancy the body naturally prepares itself for giving childbirth. Become still and gain clarity. Explore and embrace this time of transformation.
Yoga nidra is also known as yogic sleep. One hour of guided meditation is equivalent to 3-4 hours of sleep. Great for all levels. Also great for those with insomnia or sleeping disorders.
Go Flow Island Vinyasa
A class designed with sequenced asanas (poses) linked together using breathe to create seamless movement in the body. All levels welcome.
